Senior Creative (Art)
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The SpringHill Company is seeking a dynamic Sr. Creative, Art to lead visual design work at our brand consultancy, Robot. Hardwired with the SpringHill mission of empowerment, Robot is programmed to extend it to our partners through advertising and marketing support that spans campaigns, content, social, PR, and experiences, both physical and virtual.
The ideal candidate is culturally involved, strategically minded, and can think both conceptually and visually to further enhance projects. They have a portfolio of work that demonstrates a diverse range of project types.
In this role, you will lead design concepts, oversee deck creation and create compelling on-brand graphics across a variety of mediums including digital, TV, print, experiential, and apparel. You will collaborate closely with our team of Creative Directors, Strategists, Art Directors, Designers, and Writers to concept, design, and execute culturally relevant works that resonate with our creative vision.
Success in this role requires a culturally connected self-starter with impeccable craft, strong time management skills, and experience mentoring mid and junior-level designers. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a high level of taste and aesthetic sense.
REPORTS TO: Creative Director
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with Creative Director and other creatives to lead the visual design and scalable creative concepts across a variety of projects including advertising, brand logos, guidelines, and toolkits; digital and social media content; print and packaging; merchandise; and presentations.
• Collaborate with the Creative Director and Project Managers to map out project timelines Work with Art directors to conceptualize design work at the highest level
• Create design systems that have a strong conceptual foundation
• Ensure that the design thinking applied to arrive at a solution is translated and communicated throughout different teams by following a strong process that all team members can understand
• Exhibit leadership in communicating design thinking. Be informed and transmit design trends that contribute to improve and be at the top of the design game for all the company businesses
• Effectively communicate and present design concepts to cross-functional stakeholders
• Lead the creation of brand guidelines and ensure strict quality standards are consistent throughout all design work
• Research, prepare, and present ideas to creative team, internal stakeholders, and external brand partners
• Prepare design files for delivery, ensuring all deliverables are on time and carefully exported to output specifications
• Support project team in understanding opportunities and limitations in media limitations as it pertains to design
• Work dynamically with project team to identify design needs, inform timelines, and input on resourcing
• Enforce the integrity of the design process, and ensure that all work meets a high level of creativity, innovation and brand association
• Participate in team brainstorms and creative team pin-ups
• Help to grow the creative team by mentoring junior designers and art directors, providing guidance and feedback
• Keep up with the latest cultural and industry trends and best practices in design
• Provide recommendations on artists, directors, editors and other creative collaborators as needed for content and campaign projects
• Have a willingness to embrace change and adapt strategies on the fly
• Stay up to date on current trends in sports, fashion, editorial, pop culture and social media
• Contribute to team building efforts including team training, development, onboarding, and mentoring junior creative staff
• Bring curiosity, grit, creativity, empathy, and passion every day to the team and this role
Qualifications
• 6 years of relevant work experience
• 2 years of lead design and art direction experience at a senior level
• Exceptional visual design and graphic skills.
• Experience in digital, print, and experiential design
• Experience working on brand and product campaigns in the fields of Advertising, Marketing, Fashion, Art, Sports or Entertainment
• Demonstrated creative problem solver and strategic thinker capable of collaborating with creators of all types
• Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, a cultivator of collaborative cross-departmental relationships
• Expertise in Adobe creative tools, Google Slides, and Keynote
• Be able to work under pressure
• Have an eye for detail, be highly creative and imaginative
$130,000 - $140,000 a year
Salary/Benefits
$130,000.00 - 140,000.00 per year
