Job Purpose
Join our dynamic team at SXSW and take charge of producing all SXSW-branded exhibitions. As an Exhibitions Manager, you'll collaborate closely with the Sales Operations team to bring innovative and engaging exhibitions to life. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on creativity, possess keen attention to detail, and excel at managing multiple projects concurrently.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:
• Coordinate and oversee the development and execution of all SXSW-branded exhibitions.
• Work closely with the Sales Operations team to ensure alignment with overall event objectives and strategies.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of exhibitions, from conceptualization to post-event evaluation.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and delivery of exhibitions.
• Maintain and track budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
• Provide creative input and strategic guidance to enhance the impact and appeal of exhibitions.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to innovate and improve exhibition offerings continually.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for exhibitors, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering positive relationships.
Qualifications & Experience Skills
Qualifications
include:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in event management, preferably in exhibitions or trade shows.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Positive attitude, resilience, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for project management and budget tracking, including Airtable, Filemaker Pro, Hubspot CRM, and Google Suite.
• Experience working in the entertainment or technology industry is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Work Location & Schedule
The position is located in Austin, Texas. Core business office hours are Mon-Fri, 10 am – 6 pm. Must be available to work additional hours from January – March to including evenings and weekends.
