Freelance Job
We are a creative studio specializing in film marketing production/post production. Working with the post production supervisor, the coordinator will ensure smooth operation of the post department. They will help make sure our projects are delivered on time with a high degree of accuracy. They will help delegate assignments to assistant editors and editors and maintain tracking for the department. The coordinator may occasionally be asked to perform assistant editors duties as well. This is a freelance position (with potential to become staff). Hours are Monday through Friday, 9-6pm.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintaining post workflows on a per project basis
- Ensure that each stage of the post process is completed and delivered on time
- Distribute important information between departments
- Schedule and supervise finishing/online process
- Maintain editor and post/finishing calendars
- Media Management - down/upload assets and track media
- Read and interpret delivery specs
- Navigate tight deadlines
- Anticipate needs and solve problems as they arise
- Stay organized and ahead of important dates
- Understand priorities and assist Producers with assigning projects to Editors
- Understand and follow all security protocols
- Be a self-starter and prioritize tasks for yourself and the post team
- Step in to be an assistant editor as needed (prepare footage for editors and make creative decisions in selecting footage for particular pieces)
- Step in to cover the post supervisor when they are out
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 3+ years previous industry experience required
- Must have a solid understanding of post production workflows from production to final delivery
- Must understand Adobe Premiere
- Be extremely organized
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Be professional and keep assets and projects confidential
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve with little supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects
- Have a working knowledge of GSuite and spreadsheets
- IT and technical skills are a plus but not required
