Comcast Corp., the biggest U.S. cable company, and the National Football League ended a dispute over carriage of the NFL Network, meaning the channel will be carried on the operator's system.
The deal settles all legal disputes over the matter and moves the NFL Network from Comcast's sports entertainment package to its digital classic level of service by Aug. 1, the companies said in a statement.
The carriage agreement includes the NFL Network channel, video on demand for Comcast's Digital Classic cable customers, and contemplates a home for the NFL's RedZone Channel when it is created.
