Unscripted heavyweights David Goldberg, Thom Beers and R.J. Cutler have signed on to appear at Westdoc: The West Coast Documentary and Reality Conference, launching this fall in Santa Monica. The three-day event will feature panels and seminars devoted to unscripted fare, along with sessions designed to let filmmakers and producers pitch their ideas to executives. Other reality veterans slated to appear include Susan Lacey (“American Masters”) and Robert Greenwald. Planned seminars include “The Death of the DVD—Long Live Digital Delivery,” “Secrets of Superstar Producers” and “From One-Off Documentary to a Reality Series—Those Who’ve Achieved It.” Westdoc is slated to take place Sept. 14-16 at the Doubletree Suites Hotel in Santa Monica.
