Warner Horizon Television has named Drew Tappon senior creative executive of alternative programming.
He will be responsible for developing original unscripted programming for broadcast and cable networks, in addition to managing current programming.
Mr. Tappon previously was senior VP of original programming and series development at MTV. Before joining MTV, where he worked for more than 12 years, Mr. Tappon was involved in interactive media as a publicist and original content developer.
“Drew is a talented executive who is passionate about television and has wonderful relationships with the creative community, and we’re thrilled to have him join the Warner Horizon Television team,” Craig Erwich, executive VP of Warner Horizon Television, said in a statement.
Warner Horizon Television’s current titles include “Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew,” “High School Reunion,” “The Bachelor,” “Here Come the Newlyweds,” the Tyra Banks/Ashton Kutcher ABC reality series “True Beauty” and the Mike Fleiss-produced “The Cougar.”
