CBS will sponsor its fourth multicultural sketch comedy talent showcase in January in Los Angeles. Rick Najera (“Mad TV,” “In Living Color”), an executive producer, writer and the vice president of LATV Network, returns to direct the showcase.
The showcase focuses on African American, Latino, Asian American, Native American, Pacific Islander and disabled performers with extensive sketch comedy experience.
CBS Entertainment executives and casting directors will be in attendance at the showcase, which is part of the CBS Diversity Institute.
Photos and resumes should be sent by Aug. 15 to AFTRA, 5757 Wilshire Blvd., 9th floor, Los Angeles, Calif. 90036—Att: Jasmine Vargas.
“For all of us at CBS, it’s about getting these terrific actors work. Three years running, Rick has delivered a giant kick-start for many careers and we know he’ll do it again,” Peter Golden, CBS executive VP of talent and casting, said in a statement.
