The Next Step Towards The Sad Future Of SAG

Sharon Waxman is told by an "inside source," who is almost guaranteed to be “Singing” Alan Rosenberg, that Alan Rosenberg is closing this chapter of his life as SAG president with a kamikaze attack on his union, filing suit to reinstate Doug Allen.

We’re in sad, scary Col. Kurtz territory now. Rosenberg is a good man who is right about what his union should be fighting tooth and nail to get, but neither he nor anyone else in the union has the tools in this moment in history to achieve these goals.

And now, he’s lost his mind… singing on websites… suing, essentially, his own union with the goal of gaining a stronger hold on power… crazy, crazy stuff.

Once again – “A deal gets signed shortly after The Oscars. Doug Allen is marginalized or gets a settlement allowing him to take all the money and go get a job with some other union that’s going out. Rosenberg resigns. And on to the AFTRA merger.”

It's sad, but based on this behavior, I expect Rosenberg to be forced to resign by the end of next week, if not sooner.
