Hugo Chávez is having a movie moment. The Venezuela president is the subject of a fawning Oliver Stone documentary. He's had visits from Sean Penn, Danny Glover and Kevin Spacey. I'm among those who was intrigued by the prospect of "Repo Chick," Alex Cox's sorta-sequel to his 1984 cult favorite "Repo Man." The film premiered last night at Venice, and alas, Leslie Felperin's Variety review is in and not so hot. Dailymotion has a teaser trailer for Oliver Stone's "W." here. I... have no words.
