"Shocked!" is how director Sacha Gervasi felt the first time he saw Psycho as a 14-year-old kid at a film club. "I couldn't see it for another 20 years," exclaimed Gervasi. Years later, studying at UCLA in the 1990s, the budding screenwriter rediscovered Alfred Hitchcock. "I was a huge fan of his and then I heard about [his wife and constant collaborator] Alma Reveille and that felt to me like the story I wanted to tell."
